I stopped in here without an appointment. I was leaving town and wanted to make sure my breaks were good. They did a safety check on my tires and brakes and a couple of other things without charge. They have a huge lobby where you can read a book or watch TV or even charge your phone.
guy left my brake fluid cap OFF!
I put my car in here for a break inspection, because my brake light is on & called first. I was told that they would check the brake pads and brake fluids and also the parking brake.
The guy who works on my car was seemingly in a hurry and told me the brake pads were just at the place where they recommend replacing.
he gave me a quote (around $570)
I asked him If he looked at the parking break, as the other guy who checked me and said would be done and he said that he did not. (I was told at check in that the parking light wouldn't come on from just the brake pads & that it was likely the parking brake causing the light to be on, even though the parking brake was not engaged.
He supposedly went back and did that, then came back to me saying parking brake seemed fine. He seemed rushed and I had a feeling that he didn't actually check the parking brake. He also told me that his first quote was wrong and there was a new quote which was a bit less.
No it's been two or three weeks and I just discovered today that the guy left the brake fluid cap off!
I just found it sitting up by my windshield that it's been off for two or three weeks, maybe a month.
I've been wondering since that encounter if I should take my card to a different shop to check the parking break because I had a suspicion that I did not do it that now a feeling that suspicion was probably true.
Leaving the caps off of fluids in the car is such a ridiculous mistake and could potentially cause people serious damage.
2 stars because they fixed my tire before & charged my battery overnight once before i got a new les Schwab battery
(though the guy in the morning incorrectly tested the charge & said it wasn't charged, said it was drained after being charged all night....but then it started right up & I took it to another less Schwab and there are tests showed that it was charged fully, but there was a bad cell) ...
I think that guy didn't have the tester hooked up properly
Pulled in with low air pressure sensor light on. A young man (so sorry I didn't get his name) immediately had me pull my car up to check all 4 which were a little low. He even went to the trouble of checking the sensors in each tire and seeing if my spare in the back had a sensor. The whole thing took less than 10 min and I was so grateful as I had just gotten new tires so couldn't figure out why the light was coming on. They didn't make me feel like I was a problem - just helped and sent me on my way. I did tip the guy - he was worth 10x what I gave him. Les Schwab has been nothing but nice to me in the occasions I have used them - thank you.
My tire had a nail and a slow leak in it so I took it into the E 18th Les Schwab location. They greeted me in the rain and took my tire while I went to the counter to pay. They said it’s a courtesy fix, no charge even though it was not a Les Schwab tire purchase. They had it done in 15 minutes and I was on my way. Amazing service. Highly recommend, and will be buying tires and having them take care of my tire needs in the future.
Extremely disappointing service, took over 4 hours to change two tires. They had had to get them in a city 20 minutes away so I am unsure why it took over 2 hour to get them back to the shop before they even started to install them. If you feel like waiting hours for a job, this is the place to go!
Quickly replaced my flat tire. No complaints about service and everyone is very friendly and helpful. However, before agreeing to a brake job I remembered to stop around and saved about $200.00 by going elsewhere.
Lowered my rating. Over the years the service has gotten worse and worse. Total inability to estimate how long it will take, leave you sitting in a parking lot for 2 hours after saying it will take 1 hour. Don't have the correct tires in stock, ect probably going to try Point S next time. Kind of bummed because I've always loved Les Schwab.
For every additional half hour I am waiting past the 2-hour mark, after I was told it would be 1 hour, I am dropping my rating by a star. Sitting in the parking lot starting to get really hungry...
After 2 1/2 hours I left and went to Point S. It saved me over $100 on the exact same tires. I'll never be back.
I am questioning the honesty of this company. I bought a 2003 honda crv, who had a life long, honda dealership services. The car was inspected by my garage. They were surprise in how good of a shape it was, like new. A few months later, after having put 3000 miles on the car, I went to les schwab so they could do the alignment and rotate the tires. When they came back to me, they said it needed a complete set of new brakes on the back. Estimation over 800 dollars! I was surprised because the brakes worked just fine. A few days later, I had it checked by a friend, he agreed that the brakes worked just fine and that they did not need to be replaced. The disks are fine, I see no difference with the front disks, which les schwab told me did not need to be changed. I hate to be taken for a fool, just because I am a woman and I hate dishonest people ! I have been driving for over 40 years, I know what bad brakes sounds like. So, no thank you, but I will not have my car service by this company!
